In the early 1980s, at the height of New York’s creative renaissance, furniture designer Elliot Milo worked out of a SoHo loft once used as a photography studio. The neighborhood was transforming — part industrial grit, part emerging art scene — and Milo became fascinated by how spaces had to function fluidly for the people living in them. A living room by day was often a bedroom by night.

His goal was to design a sleeper sofa that didn’t feel like a compromise: a piece that carried the clarity of modern New York design while transforming with the ease demanded by city life. The prototype featured a clean, architectural profile with generous cushions and a seamless pull-out motion engineered for small lofts and long nights.

Artists, writers, and musicians who visited his studio praised the design for its dual identity — a sofa with the quiet presence of gallery seating that converted effortlessly into a bed. For them, it reflected the rhythm of the city itself: work and rest blending without boundaries.

When Rove rediscovered Milo’s early drawings decades later, the design was refined into the Milo Sleeper Sofa — a study in modern versatility. Its understated geometry, comfortable proportions, and intuitive functionality honor the creative spirit of 1980s New York while offering a contemporary ease suited for any home.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to the USA and Canada. There are a few exceptions such as Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Nunavut.

We believe in transparent pricing. We don't hide shipping fees within the product price under the guise of free shipping. This helps us communicate the true value of our products to customers.

When will my order be delivered?

For in-stock orders, Standard and White Glove will take an estimated 1-4 business days for processing and an estimated 1-3 weeks for transit in Canada and the US.

For custom orders, lead time is an estimated 14-20 weeks. This estimated time frame is an all-encompassing lead time from the start of production to delivery. For more information about our Custom Order Policy and the Custom Order lead times, please see the Store Policy page here.

Standard shipping includes a delivery to the threshold, described as the "first dry area or garage", or lobby/service area of a high-rise building. White Glove service includes an in-home delivery appointment, up to 1 flight of stairs, assembly and removal of large packaging materials. If you are considering a return please request to keep the packaging.

What is your return policy?

We want you to be overjoyed with your new purchase. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with a product you can notify us via the contact form on our Contact Us page and our team will provide all of the details for initiating a return. Products need to be returned within 30 days from the delivery or pick-up date in original packaging and in like-new condition to be accepted.
